hello, recently my samsung jet displays a pop up window when switched on "Select headset / TV out" if I don't select anything then I have no sound except incoming calls, texts or alarm. If I select the TV out then I have sound however the pop up window will come on sporadically with an annoying beeping sound. How can I get rid of this pop menu? Thank you

Try using normal earphones and then see what happens, generally on my phone the message pops up if use normal earphones i.e (the ones with no mic) and it asks me if it is Headset/tv out.

My phone is now going berserk, it only started yesterday but it is constantly beeping and flashing "select headset/tv out" I haven't been using earphones for ages. Anyone know how to fix this? Please.

The dumb jack socket must have junk in it shorting the pins or is broken

Thanks. I went to a vodafone outlet (naturally my phone was suddenly behaving) and the sales person reset my phone. Knock on wood it hasn't flashed up the "select headset/tv out" since,  and this was about a month ago.

I got this pop-up once and before I could select anything it was gone. It was when I pluged a normal phone at the P2 entrance.

Now the problem: my 'headset' use the multi-function port (the mini-usb), but the earphones can be 'ejected' from the microphone (P2 plug, all Samsung parts), ok until now.
When using just the earphone at the P2 exit: perfect, but when connected as a complete headset I get no sound, from calls, music player, nothing!
Also I canīt try to use the both parts directly at the mobile because the microphone plug cover the P2 port.

Any sugestions?  Huh
Thanks!
